I wish to express my gratitude for all the blessings and healings which have come to me in Christian Science. About five years ago I heard of Christian Science through my brother in America. He sent me a Herold, and a little later the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which made me inexpressibly happy. Since that time I have attended the Sunday services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings almost regularly. I want to tell of a healing I experienced. It was on a Sunday in March, 1925, as I was going to church, that I was struck and knocked down by a bicyclist. Before I realized what had happened a gentleman had picked me up. My right arm and shoulder pained me so badly that I could hardly walk alone. A lady who was also going to church came along, and I asked her to take me with her; which she lovingly did. During the service I suffered terrible pain, but I clung steadfastly to the truth. I repeated to myself (Science and Health, p. 393): "Mind is the master of the corporeal senses, and can conquer sickness, sin, and death. Exercise this God-given authority. Take possession of your body, and govern its feeling and action."

After the service I looked for a practitioner and asked her for treatment. With unfailing love and patience she was, as usual, willing to work for me immediately. Another lady took me home. My relatives were very much frightened when they saw me, for according to human opinion I was severely injured. As my temperature was very high the next day, they called in a doctor, who told me at once that she could do nothing for me, as my shoulder was broken, and advised me to call a specialist. This I did not do, but clung steadfastly to the truth. I repeated to myself (Science and Health, p. 424), "Under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection." In ten days I was completely healed and could go about my household duties as usual.

For this healing and a great deal more I am sincerely grateful to our Father-Mother God. With deep reverence I think of our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am also unceasingly grateful that my two youngest children have the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School. I know now that God is my Life, and that I have nothing to fear, for God is always here.—(Mrs.) Wilhelmine Kanne, Hamburg-Rahlstedt, Germany.
