I have many things to be grateful for since gaining some understanding of God, as taught in Christian Science. All physical disorders which I have experienced for some years have been met through the application of its teachings. I have been healed of chronic headache, tumors, influenza, smallpox, and many other diseases; and to some degree I have been healed of self-pity, self-love, self-will, and self-justification. One of San Francisco's best physicians said that on account of sickness and a great sorrow I had become temporarily weak-minded, and might go insane within a year, if I lived as long as that. That was nine years ago. Through the help of a loving Christian Science practitioner I was completely healed. It is quite impossible to find words to tell how thankful I am for this wonderful healing.

I am so grateful for the understanding of God which is being revealed to me through the daily study of the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. I am humbly grateful for the lessons I am learning in humility, patience, and obedience; but more so for the regeneration that is taking place in my consciousness and giving me such peace, contentment, and rest.
