As Christian Science has met my every need for the past ten years, and brought me more happiness than I ever knew before, I should like to express my gratitude through our periodicals.

Man's extremity is God's opportunity;" and that proved to be true in my case; for I was never so poor mentally, physically, or financially, as when I asked for my first Christian Science treatment. As I talked with the practitioner by telephone, telling her that I was afraid of everything and everybody, I remember shuddering when she sweetly replied, "God's child cannot be afraid;" for I did not want to hear about God as I then pictured Him. Now I know Him as my Father-Mother God, who is always ready when I call and say, Thy will and not mine be done.

My first physical healing was of constipation. I never retired without a laxative, gradually increasing the dose each night until I would have to resort to another kind, as the efficacy wore off. I was afraid of certain kinds of food, and ate many things I did not care for because I thought they were health-giving. Grippe, influenza, chronic sore throat, catarrh of the eyes, and many minor ailments have yielded to the application of Christian Science. An injury resulting from a fall on an icy walk was overcome in about a week's time, with the aid of a practitioner.
