I became acquainted with Christian Science at a time of great sorrow. Since that time inexpressible love and gratitude to God have filled my heart. Before I heard of Christian Science I had suffered for years from indigestion. Innumerable medicines and homeopathic treatment brought little relief and no complete healing. Through Christian Science treatment and an earnest study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was completely healed in a few weeks, after recognizing that spiritual understanding in Christian Science governs one harmoniously.

Through reading the textbook I was able to lay aside glasses, without which I had not been able to work. In many cases I have found that as one clings loyally to the truth, seeming evil is destroyed; and my certainty and faith that God is All-in-all have become deeper and stronger. At the birth of our two children I felt clearly that spiritual man knows no pain. A severe attack of the grippe, which manifested itself in general ill health, disappeared in a few days through the loving treatment of a Christian Science practitioner.

In the case of our children also, I have often seen bad coughs, colds, and burns from hot liquid disappear in a very short time. It is a wonderfully reassuring feeling for a mother to know that her children are under divine protection. My daily prayer is that I may receive a pure heart and a new spirit. I am filled with deep reverence for our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who, through her unselfish love, gave us an example and such abundance of the truth in her textbook. I shall daily watch and pray in order that I may demonstrate that man is the reflection of our Father-Mother God. As I am privileged to be a member of The Mother Church, it is my daily task to fulfill faithfully and to the best of my understanding my duties towards God, Christ Jesus, our dear Leader, and my fellow-men. The greatest benefit I have received through Christian Science is spiritual reformation, and I should like to say with Paul, "This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
