One of my first healings through Christian Science was of stomach trouble, to which I had been subject as long as I could remember, and which was supposed to have been inherited. Once, while traveling, I had a cold which hung on for several days; and finally symptoms developed which I knew meant pneumonia. I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner about ten o'clock in the morning, then went to my hotel and to bed; the next day I left the town—healed.
Not long ago I suffered from tonsillitis. This condition continued for several days. The fourth day it was a strenuous effort to swallow even a liquid. In this condition I called on a practitioner about ten o'clock in the morning, and she told me to let her know how I felt later on. About two o'clock in the afternoon I telephoned her that I was better. That evening about six o'clock I ate beefsteak. In two days my throat was normal.
I am a member of The Mother Church. My prayer is for that Mind to be in me "which was also in Christ Jesus," and that I may be "merciful, just, and pure" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 497).—Charles H. Boyd, Butte, Montana.
