It is with a great sense of joy that I send my testimony to The Christian Science Publishing Society. I should like to tell of some incidents which proved to me that Christian Science is the truth.

When I reached the age of twelve years, after being in regular attendance in the Christian Science Sunday School since I was old enough to attend, a circumstance took place in the family which led to my being forbidden to read any of the periodical Christian Science literature or "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, or to attend Sunday school. As Christian Science meant everything to me, this seemed quite a trial. I earnestly prayed to be led to the truth. I tried to live in accordance with Christian Science, even though I could not study it. My prayer was answered with the words, "This is the way, walk ye in it." This experience alone was enough to make me rejoice—just to know that God is ever present, guiding and directing our every footstep. It was not long until I was again attending the Christian Science Sunday School, and no further opposition ever presented itself.

Jesus once said, "Wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" Christian Science reveals the meaning of the words. I proved this once when I realized that I, too, must be about my Father's business. I was looking for work. Positions seemed to be much fewer than the demand for them. For several days I did everything in a material way that one could do. Finally I awoke from the dream that I could not find work, and commenced to reason in the light of Truth, as we are taught to do in Christian Science. I realized that God is the source of all supply; that God is Mind and the only source of right ideas; that each idea has its rightful place in the universe of Mind; and that one idea cannot intrude upon another idea or push it out of its place. I knew that supply is equal to demand. After this I soon found a position, although it was in a rather unpleasant environment, with long hours and little appreciation. But I knew that I was not working for a mortal; that I was working for God, for Truth, Life, and Love, divine Principle. There was ever a song in my heart. While working there, doing the best I could every day, and learning to love the work which I had thought I never could love, I was offered another place. Even higher proofs of the truth were now demanded—a life in accord with Principle, Love, Truth; one of sincerity, cheerfulness, courtesy, patience, and alertness. It was here that the truth of the statement on page 548 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was demonstrated: "Christian Science separates error from truth, and breathes through the sacred pages the spiritual sense of life, substance, and intelligence."
