[Written for the Sentinel]

Let Truth be Truth to me to-day,
And let me know no wrong;
My thoughts, my steps, turn unto Thee,
Within my heart a song.
Rejoicing in the truth I know,
Let me unharmed, unharming, go.

Help me to bind with Love's own power
The strong man, human will.

Help me to make my own the peace
That whispers sweet, "Be still;"
Quick to discern the false from true,
And pierce deceptive shadows through.
