Among the Churches

Current Notes

Edmonton Journal

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (First Church).—First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Edmonton, has just completed the erection of the first portion of its new edifice at the corner of One Hundred and Eighth Street and One Hundredth Avenue. Services are now being held in the new building. The portion that has been built is the Sunday school room, and it will provide accommodation for the church services until the main auditorium on the second floor is erected. The structure is fireproof and strongly built of reinforced concrete and brick, and the portion now completed contains a roomy basement. The building presents an appearance of strength and solidity, and, with its white brick walls and cathedral glass windows, and its excellent construction and finish throughout, gives promise of the beautiful and chaste edifice which has been planned as the permanent home of this church in Edmonton.
