I wish to express my gratitude to God and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for bringing Christian Science to the world. My mother and my eldest sister had passed away with consumption and I felt as if I were going the same way. I had a lovely family and everything to make me happy, but I was seeking something I could not find in the church of which I was a member. At this time Christian Science was first brought to my attention. I was healed by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. In about two months I awoke to find that every ailment I had was gone.

It is now over twenty-two years since I had this wonderful healing, and during the years that have followed I have had many other demonstrations of the truth as revealed by our dear Leader. Members of my family have also been healed many times. My grandmother, at the age of eighty, experienced a complete healing after being an invalid most of her life. A little niece was given over to my care after the doctors had said she could not live two weeks. At the age of three months she weighed less than at birth. Three days after she was taken to a Christian Science practitioner she became normal, and gained weight steadily.

I am very grateful to God for the many healings I have had through the revelation given to us by Mrs. Eddy. I am also very grateful for the Christian Science literature, the Church Manual, the Lesson-Sermons, and the Wednesday evening testimony meetings; also, for the practitioners who are working both day and night for suffering humanity, and for class instruction and the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church and a branch church.—(Mrs.)Alice L.
