[Written for the Sentinel]

Footsteps

If I each day am turning more and moreTo Thee, and counting less the steps which come beforeWhere all is Thine; If I am holding fast the goal ahead,If I with trust in Thy safe guidance onward tread,Then joy is mine.

If I am shutting out the myriad claimsOf limitations, woes of whatsoever names,Then peace is mine; For Truth, the Comforter, is ever nighTo show that Love, the source of infinite supply,Is always mine.
