Almost twelve years ago I was healed, through the reading of the chapter on Prayer in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, of a discordant condition of ten years' standing. Christian Science was presented to me by a very dear friend who had had a beautiful healing. She advised me to visit a practitioner, who lovingly explained to me what Christian Science could do for me. I obtained the textbook that evening, and read until midnight and the greater part of the next day. It was such a wonderful revelation to me to find that God is not a God "afar off," but ever present, and right with me if I pray aright. Then and there I had an instantaneous healing, with the result that since then Truth has been my only Physician.

I was also healed in a few treatments of acute indigestion, rheumatism, and many other discordant conditions; but I am most grateful for the spiritual uplift. It is such joy to know that God is Love, and to know also my right relationship to Him. Christian Science has met my every need—physical, mental, and financial, since I took up the study of it. As Mrs. Eddy tells us on page 494 of our textbook, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."

I am profoundly grateful to God; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, for all her writings; for the periodicals; and for all the other activities of the Christian Science movement. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for the wonderful privilege of being a teacher in the Sunday school; and for class instruction. I surely am grateful for the many blessings that have come to me and mine and all mankind through the study and right application of Christian Science.
