With a heart filled with gratitude I rejoice in the miracles God has performed for me, for I was so miserable and sick that no physician could help me. Owing to a serious stomach complaint I was so thin that I was like a skeleton. As a last resort the doctors wanted to operate on me. As we had heard of Christian Science some time previous to this, we turned to it. A kind practitioner, to whom my wife went, consented to give me treatment; and from that very hour I could eat whatever was set before me. Up to that time I had not been able to retain anything.

It is true I had to struggle a whole year before I recognized my sonship with God, and thus regained my complete health; but I am sincerely grateful for this, for thereby I was privileged to learn a great deal. I did not become discouraged, even though seeming relapses took place now and again; for was I not thereby being led higher, step by step, in my recognition of God? I was learning to recognize that God is Life, and I can truthfully say that I am now healthier than I ever was before; for I know that God is the source of my health and my life. I have also experienced many blessings in my business relations.

I am profoundly grateful to God that He led me to find this precious way; and with my dear wife, who loyally supports me, I shall endeavor to strive for progress on this wonderful way of Truth. "O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms."
