"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."...

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." I was a subscriber to the periodicals for a number of years before I began to realize the good to be derived from the reading of the testimonies.

My first healing in Christian Science was that of a mental and physical breakdown induced by overstudy. I was seemingly about to pass away with this condition when an aunt suggested that I try Christian Science. I was instantly healed of this condition, and so complete was the healing that some time afterward I entered a university and met the requirements without difficulty.

Two days after the birth of our little boy I was stricken with pneumonia. I was in a hospital at the time, in a delirious condition, and under the care of physicians. When I came to myself enough to speak, I changed nurses until I found one who would hand me the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which I kept concealed in a bureau drawer. I am grateful to say that I was liberated from this trying condition in ten days, through the application of Christian Science. When I came home I seemed to suffer from an internal displacement. I consulted a surgeon, who said that I was "all out of line." I began to think matters over in earnest and pondered the words "all out of line." It began to dawn on me that I certainly was "all out of line" with what I understood of Christian Science. I consulted another practitioner, and just in proportion as I began to support the various activities of Christian Science, as far as I was able, health and harmony were restored to me.
