About twelve years have elapsed since this new-old truth, Christian Science, first came to my attention; and so many blessings have come to me in every way that like the Psalmist I can say, "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" The first purifying influence of this truth in my consciousness was almost a complete transformation and reformation of character, resulting in an instantaneous healing of profanity.

As I had been sent to Colorado by a physician for my health and had been almost constantly under the care of a physician while there, it is a source of great gratitude to be able to say that since the time Christian Science came into my life the word "medicine" as a healing agent has not been in my vocabulary. In its place has come the true medicine, Mind, revealed in Christian Science as the healer of all our diseases. About seven years ago, during an epidemic, I seemingly walked through the "valley of the shadow of death," but with the loving help of a practitioner the disease was healed through Truth.

Prior to accepting Christian Science I had no God, no religion, and had been in a church only once or twice in my life; but thanks to this wonderful revelation of Christian Science by Mary Baker Eddy, I now have a God of love, unchanging love, a religion founded on the Rock, Christ, and the Church universal and triumphant. For membership in The Mother Church, for the privilege of serving in various capacities in a branch church, and for class instruction I indeed rejoice.
