With the desire to send the word of my testimony to those seekers who are reading the Christian Science Sentinel, comes the opportunity to express my gratitude for this messenger. After the healing of a dear friend, I was interested to know something of Christian Science, and it was through the pages of the Sentinel that my thought was sufficiently enlightened to grasp a few of the truths contained in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. This book and the Bible have been my daily companions for many years, proving to me that God is the only real physician, counselor, and guide; in fact, that He is my Life. For these books have taught me of the living God, who is Truth, and of the regenerative mission of Christian Science.

My first healing, taking place when I had scarcely any understanding of Christian Science, was a convincing proof of its efficacy. I was many miles from the practitioner, and after a day and a half I was as completely healed as if I had cast off an old garment (as indeed I had) ; some conditions which had been with me practically all my life, and others which had accumulated during the years of medical care and treatment, bringing fear, dread, and discouragement, had all disappeared.

The tender thought of love and gratitude which I have always entertained for the practitioner who had lived so close to God as to know no law but the divine for me, finds its expression in this testimony. The next specific healing was that of a bronchial cough. After a week of suffering, when it had reached the stage where there was no rest, no sleep, and almost constant coughing, a practitioner was called by telephone; and for the clarity of vision that was able to dispel the illusion in one treatment I again rejoiced, and thanked God for this wonderful truth.
