In the spring of 1918 I was taken very ill
In the spring of 1918 I was taken very ill. I grew so much worse in the summer that I was sent to a hospital for an examination. X-ray pictures were made. By means of these and other tests it was found that I had cancer of the stomach, and my husband was told that it appeared to be a fatal case; that I was too far gone to be operated on, for an operation would mean instant death; and that I had probably only a short time to live. So I left the hospital. Not long afterwards a friend persuaded my husband to try Christian Science for me. He had a practitioner in another state treat me; and by means of absent treatment I was entirely healed. I did not see the practitioner until several weeks later. The healing of the cancer took place overnight, though it took me some time to regain my strength and flesh. To-day I am better and stronger than I have ever been, and can do more and stand more without fatigue than I could before my illness. It is a great joy and privilege now to tell others what Christian Science has done for me.
