"Whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil." The truth of these words in Proverbs is becoming clearer to me each day since I have become a student of Christian Science. We are told in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 368), "When fear disappears, the foundation of disease is gone." Many phases of sickness and disease have disappeared from my consciousness since the desire has come to me to hearken unto the Christ-idea. Glasses which had been worn for eight years were laid aside after a few treatments; a very serious case of quinsy was completely overcome within twenty-four hours; severe headaches have been met in a few minutes; colds, train sickness, constipation of years' standing, a scalp disease which had persisted since childhood—all have been overcome through the application of Christian Science.

It would be impossible to express in words my deep appreciation and gratitude for the help and spiritual uplift which came to me at a time of overwhelming grief, when a loved one passed on. To realize that man reflects Life eternal, that nothing can destroy him—surely a religion that can bring this fact to our consciousness must indeed be the Comforter promised to us by our Lord and Master, Jesus the Christ.

The privilege of teaching in our Sunday school is also a source of joy and growth. The work is a constant inspiration to pattern our lives after the Sermon on the Mount, for we must ourselves be pure if we expect to give out this healing truth to others. I feel the utmost reverence and love for our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. She has made it possible for us to learn how to live "quiet from fear of evil."—
