We have had many proofs in our home that Christian Science is the same truth which Jesus taught and practiced and that it does heal, not only sickness, but all discordant conditions. I am so grateful for the loving patience of the practitioners, who are always ready to help us when our own thought is not clear; and through this help I have seen hemorrhage, for which several operations had been performed some years previously without permanent relief, quickly healed. At another time convulsions, which had been predicted by a doctor, were prevented and never came to pass. Through my own understanding and study I have been enabled to overcome so-called chronic sore throat, indigestion, rheumatism, palpitation of the heart, a tendency to become despondent, and many minor annoyances.

But more than all else, I am grateful that I can now read the Bible understandingly; that we can demonstrate that "our heaven is everywhere," here and now, that life is spiritual, continuous, harmonious, joyous, and cannot be taken from us; and that the writings of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, have taught us how it is possible to obey the commands, "Love thy neighbour as thyself" and, "Pray without ceasing."
