Letters from the Field

"I am deeply grateful for the privilege of spending a few days at our Christian Science sanatorium, grateful that the loving thought of our revered Leader has resulted in furnishing this haven of rest and refreshment. There is nothing like it. Its care for its guests, so like a mother's tender love —what wonder that the sick, the sorrowing, and the sinner are healed and blessed, comforted and regenerated! During the six days of my stay I heard earnest expressions of grateful appreciation on every hand, and not one word of criticism. I myself experienced a new realization of the powerlessness of matter, alias mortal mind, to hinder or retard the unfoldment to human consciousness of the eternal harmony.

"(Mrs.) Grace S. Voorhees, Buffalo, New York."

"I wish to tell how grateful and happy I am for the privilege of spending one week at the Christian Science sanatorium. It was indeed a helpful experience. The love expressed throughout the entire place was a revelation to me. Upon arrival I seemed to feel a very keen sense of loneliness, but this was quickly healed in the atmosphere of peace and harmony. The kindly smile and cheery word expressed each day by guests and workers filled my heart with joy and a sense of loving companionship. I am so grateful for the opportunity of quiet and study, and for the spiritual truths gained. The evening song services were a great joy and inspiration.
