In August, 1914, when conditions seemed darkest, as the World War had begun, I was out of a position, and had been without employment since the first of January. My family and I were fed, as it were, by the ravens, as I was without income or means. It was then that the glorious truth of Christian Science came to my rescue. Through the aid of a kind, patient practitioner, at the very blackest moment I secured a position, and have since been successful beyond my fondest dreams. I have also had many physical healings through Christian Science. The following stands out. I was picked up on the streets of New York city with a hemorrhage from my stomach, and taken to a hospital. I was told that I should be compelled to stay there for a long time; but under Christian Science treatment my recovery was rapid, and I was on my feet and out in eleven days.
For all of the blessings that have come to me through this great truth, especially for a right concept of God, I am deeply grateful. In gratitude to God, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I give this testimony in the hope that it may help in leading some poor mortal to this great truth.
John M. Sadler, Brooklyn, New York.
