Men and women of to-day have grown weary of leaning on broken reeds of human opinion and are looking eagerly and with hope for some spiritual leadership, some divine guidance which will be to them, in the wilderness of this world, a pillar of cloud by day and of fire by night. Men, unwilling to follow blind leaders of the blind, seek revelation with reason, and demand of the new evangelist authority for his statement and position.
