In an interesting review of a certain novel, the reviewer, writing recently in the Herald, quotes some of the words of this novel. The novelist represents the town of which he writes as having its various "weeks," and says that among the "weeks" we now have there is "Christian Science week." It would be a pity to detract from the humor of the book, and a greater pity to take such a statement seriously. It is well to make clear, however, that there is no such thing as a "Christian Science week," so called. The Christian Science movement grows and develops without any such means. Christian Science is happily free from this mode of advertisement, and from any necessity for the employment of such a method.
