According
to the Scriptures, as recorded in the book of Acts, two men prayed.
Two
little children had been busily working with buckets and brooms to clear a large cemented basin of the accumulated rubbish and leaves of autumn.
Great
is the gratitude expressed when through Christian Science mortals are healed of sin, sickness, poverty —the ills to which flesh is heir.
Often
when a problem seems difficult to solve in Christian Science the student gives false prestige and power a comfortable lodging place by allowing his mental opposition to become less and less active as this false belief consequently becomes more and more vigorous and aggressive in asserting itself.
It is unfortunate that those who are not the followers of Christian Science so frequently make the mistake of trying to explain its teachings and of classifying it with other systems of healing having nothing in common with it.
In a sermon, which appeared in a recent issue of your paper, written by a minister who is under the impression that he knows more about the Bible than do the Christian Scientists, the question is asked, "How is it that you accept heaven and reject the reality of eternal perdition?
The report in your recent issue of a sermon preached in the Milton Congregational Church recently concludes with the question, "What has Christian Science which the church has not?
In several issues of the Missourian during the past few weeks, in your reports of the sermons of an evangelist, have appeared references to Christian Science and to Mrs.
The utterance of a clergyman as reported in your recent issue is very true, in that "A New Concept of God in America" is greatly needed.
By way of correcting any false impression that may have been conveyed by a reference to Christian Science contained in the address of an archdeascon, as reported in a recent issue, please permit me to say that Christian Science does not, as our reverend friend seems to think, heal by a process of suggestion.
In an interesting review of a certain novel, the reviewer, writing recently in the Herald, quotes some of the words of this novel.

Paul's
unqualified declaration, "The carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to law of God, neither indeed can be," leaves us in no doubt as to the utter disagreement between the so-called carnal or mortal mind, its demands and desires, and the divine Mind, which is God.
Gentleness
is one of the finest of spiritual qualities: there is always spiritual understanding behind it, understanding of the deep things which pertain to God and to man.

To insure that complete lecture notices be printed in the Sentinel, detailed information should reach the Editorial Department regarding lectures in the United States and Canada, at least four weeks before the date of the lecture; in Great Britain and Ireland, at least five weeks before; in other European countries, at least eight weeks before.
In 1918, I returned from Hamburg, Germany, to my native country, after suffering deprivations during the war time.
As I have received much encouragement and help from reading the testimonies of healing published in the Christian Science Sentinel, I feel it to be my duty to God, to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and to mankind, to tell of some of the blessings which have come to me through the study and application of the truths revealed in the Bible and made plain through Mrs.
Christian Science was presented to me by one of our friends, and I did not doubt for a moment that I had found the truth.
Having been many times helped by the testimonies in Christian Science, both written and spoken, I desire to add mine, and to swell the great song of gratitude to God for His most wonderful gift to His people in our day and for His messenger, Mary Baker Eddy, through whose loving and unselfish labors we have been enabled to find the Rock of Truth, Christ, and to make practical use of the Master's teachings again, in the healing from sin, disease, and even death.
About ten years ago, during a period of great physical suffering, I became very much discouraged because the remedies prescribed by physicians brought no relief.
Nearly all my life I had been a sufferer from chronic indigestion and heart trouble, until seventeen years ago, when I was healed in about three weeks through reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
Christian Science came into my life late in March, 1925; and what rich blessings I have experienced since then through divine Love! After I had been interested six weeks I was, through right thinking, able to experience a healing of wounds caused by burning.
Words cannot adequately express my gratitude for the blessings of Christian Science during a period of over twenty years.
I am very thankful for the benefits which Christian Science has brought to me.
A recent healing in Christian Science has inspired me to contribute to one of our helpful periodicals the testimony I have so long considered.
I should like to give my testimony, hoping that it may help some other children.
