I am very thankful for the benefits which Christian Science has brought to me. It is about four years since I began to study it. Twelve years ago, after giving birth to a child, I was very ill and unable to walk for nearly a year. I have had several operations; have been in a nursing home and in a London hospital; also have had advice from Harley Street specialists; and my dear husband called in all the best doctors in our town—but it was of no use. They were all very kind and gave the best advice they could; but as fast as one complaint disappeared, something else appeared. The day before I had Christian Science help I had been to a doctor and he had told me I must undergo another operation. I said, "I dare not have another operation." At this point I wrote to a friend who was interested in Christian Science, asking her to come to see me. She advised me to have Christian Science treatment at once. I cannot be grateful enough to her and to the dear practitioner for their loving help; for my life is so different now. Christian Science has taught me to love and know God better. Instead of being wheeled about in a bath chair, I am able to ride a bicycle. I am sincerely grateful.—(Mrs.) Alice Lavinia Patfield, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.
