About ten years ago, during a period of great physical suffering, I became very much discouraged because the remedies prescribed by physicians brought no relief. Christian Science had been recommended to me many times, but I was afraid to try it. I had been unable to eat any solid food for about three weeks, and had had these spells at intervals for several years. Finally I went to see a Christian Science practitioner and received a treatment from her. On my return to my home I prepared a hearty meal and ate everything that the rest of the family did; and I have been enjoying the same privilege ever since, with no return of the old trouble. Since that time we have had many beautiful healings, of croup, quinsy, scarlet fever, severe colds, and so on.

About five years ago our youngest son, about twelve years old at that time, was healed of a very severe attack of appendicitis. We called a practitioner for help, but the trouble seemed very slow in yielding. Several members of the family were bitterly opposed to Christian Science, and were expressing great fear of the outcome. My husband and I stood firm in our faith that Truth would meet our need, and the lad never faltered in his confidence; and thanks to our Father-Mother, God, and to the faithful work of the practitioner, he was completely healed, and there has been no return of the trouble.

I am very grateful for all these healings, and also for the knowledge of God that has come to me through the study of the teachings of Christian Science, and to know that if I am a faithful student of the Bible and its spiritual interpretation as given by our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I can and will be free from every discordant condition.
