With gratitude I send this testimony. The efficacy of Truth to heal disease and discord has been proved to me many times. Such difficulties as colds, scarlet fever, influenza, and severe headaches have been overcome in our family without any material aid whatever, by clinging to Christ, Truth, as taught in the Bible and in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

Several years ago, while I was gathering tomatoes, a copperhead snake bit me on my instep. We at once telephoned for help to a practitioner living in another town. My limb was badly swollen, and I was quite ill. No material means were used. By the second day I could walk, and by the third day I was able to do my work. Those who saw this demonstration thought it quite wonderful. Many other discords have been overcome by the faithful work of practitioners.

Each proof of the power of Truth makes us stronger, and teaches us to be more grateful to God, to Christ Jesus, and to the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mrs. Eddy. I also wish to express my gratitude to those who make it possible for us to have the Christian Science literature.
