My first healing in Christian Science was that of my eyes, which were healed instantaneously through reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was able to lay aside glasses which had been worn for years, and this healing has remained permanent. Many other beautiful healing have been experienced, and for all I am truly grateful. However, my gratitude is far greater for the mental and spiritual uplift that comes to me daily through my constant study of the Bible and our textbook. I can truthfully say, in the words of one of the beautiful hymns by our Leader (Poems, p. 13):

"From tired joy and grief afar,
And nearer Thee, —
Father, where Thine own children are,
I love to be."
