I wish to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science. Gradually, before taking up this study, I lost all interest in the Bible, because it seemed as if the truth taught therein could not apply to everyday conditions; and yet I wanted to know about God. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy has indeed been a key to unlock the Scriptures, and explain how God's promises are meant for all time and are applicable to all our needs. Christian Science has given me a God who is near at hand, who has proved to be a loving Father-Mother and not an unknown, far-away Being; and it has brought a sense of peace which I never knew before.

During the years of my study of Christian Science many diseases have disappeared without the use of material remedies. Among them have been headaches, which were said to be the result of a condition of the eyes, but which glasses did not relieve, although they were worn for years; frequent sore throat and colds; and a sense of always being tired.

Soon after beginning this study my glasses were accidentally broken, and by applying my slight understanding of Christian Science, as taught in the Bible and in Mrs. Eddy's books, it was never necessary to put them on again. I tried to keep realizing that spiritual perception is my sight. I could see better without them than I could before with them. This was over ten years ago.
