Please permit me space for a short reply to the article entitled, "Great Revival Closes," in a recent issue of your paper. Kindness and charity are marks of great men and women, and should be characteristic also of workers in the ministry more than of all others. Jesus taught his followers that great lesson; and no reformer in modern times has more carefully obeyed the Master's teaching in that regard than Mary Baker Eddy. On page 444 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" she says, "Students are advised by the author to be charitable and kind, not only towards differing forms of religion and medicine, but to those who hold these differing opinions."

Jesus' ministry consisted of preaching the gospel and healing the sick; and he commanded his followers to do likewise. We do not know how fully the writer of the revival article is following that command, but we do know that hundreds of thousands are being saved and healed annually through Christian Science, the religion founded by Mrs. Eddy. Its value measured by this standard entitles it and its Founder to the charity, if not the gratitude, of all mankind.
