STUDENTS
of Christian Science often find it helpful to talk with one another about the wonderful results gained through the study and practice of Christian Science.
WHEN
Jesus returned to his disciples in the garden of Gethsemane and found them asleep, he said to them, "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.
May we assure your correspondent, who writes under the caption of Christian Science, in your recent issue, that it is his erroneous concept of the teachings of Christian Science which is at fault, and not the teachings themselves.
In a recent issue of the Providence Journal, an article entitled, "Cure of Disease by Mental Treatment," by a doctor, classified Christian Science healing with new-thought and Coueism.
A sermon on "Faith Healing," reported in your recent issue, contains an erroneous reference to Christian Science as being a form of healing "by suggestion or waking hypnotism," which we ask leave to correct.
Unwarranted remarks on the life and work of Mary Baker Eddy by the writer of a syndicated article, captioned "Health Talks," in your recent issue, should in justice to the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science be corrected.
Please permit me space for a short reply to the article entitled, "Great Revival Closes," in a recent issue of your paper.

To insure that complete lecture notices be printed in the Sentinel, detailed information should reach the Editorial Department regarding lectures in the United States and Canada, at least four weeks before the date of the lecture; in Great Britain and Ireland, at least five weeks before; in other European countries, at least six weeks before.
Christian Science is a great joy to me, because through its teachings I have been able to overcome many obstacles and to solve many problems; and in the degree that I have put into practice the truths contained in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I have been able to "prove all things" and "hold fast that which is good.
I was healed in Christian Science of an illness which had held me in bondage for nine years, an illness which the doctors named Graves' disease, and one for which they had found no remedy.
I, too, am sincerely grateful to Christian Science, for it has brought me many blessings.
For seventeen years Christian Science has been my help and comfort at all times and in all ways.
For fourteen years I suffered very severely, and often would not close my eyes for as many as three consecutive nights and days.
