I, too, am sincerely grateful to Christian Science, for it has brought me many blessings. When I was still attending school, my back was examined by a physician, because I was suffering from an incrassation of the spine. The physician said it was possible that later a definite spinal disease might develop. But many years passed. Suddenly I began to have pains in my back, and I remembered what the physician had said. I had known of Christian Science for two years, and had not taken much notice of this condition, for I thought the pains would disappear again. But instead of this they grew worse, and fear began to take possession of me.

I was about to be married, and the thought of what would happen to us if this complaint developed and I could not work, troubled me greatly. The fear was so great that my whole body trembled. At last I turned to a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly helped me. A short time later I perceived that not only the fear in my though was diminishing, but the pains in my back, too; and a fortnight later I was healed.

Later on I was healed of poisoning in three days. My wife, with the help of a practitioner, was instantly healed of a serious indisposition. My mother, too, has experienced the blessings which Christian Science brings with it; for she was healed in three weeks of water on the knee, accompanied by severe pains.
