With a deep sense of gratitude I am impelled to testify publicly to the healing efficacy of Christian Science. I am bankrupt for words to express my gratitude for the wonderful help and measure of protection which I received through the ministration of Christian Science prior to and during the birth of our baby boy. When he was six months old he was instantaneously healed of diphtheria. Absolute dependence on Christian Science has kept him free from many troubles incident to children of his age. When two and a half years old, while in the hallway with a little visitor, he lost his balance and fell headforemost through a plate-glass French door. Seeing the accident, I instantly declared the truth of God's presence and the protecting power of Love to care for its own. And when the child's head was extricated from the jagged edges of broken glass, not even a scratch was found on him. The child ran away without crying, declaring, "God takes care of me."

I am glad to express my gratitude for all the inspiration that comes to me through membership in The Mother Church; for all the activities of the local church, and for the privilege of membership therein; for class instruction; and especially for the Sunday school, where the foundation of Christian Science is laid in the thought of our children for their benefit.
