I gratefully testify to the healing and redemptive power of Christian Science. The knowledge gained through the study of this beautiful truth enabled me to overcome a severe attack of ptomaine poisoning in a few hours, and is helping me to eliminate from my character many unpleasant traits, such as sarcasm, unkind criticism, irritability, nervousness, and so on.

A few years ago I had a great desire to receive class instruction, but at the time I had no permanent position and seemingly no means with which to pay the tuition fee. However, I made application to enter a class, feeling sure my desire was a good one and that the way would be opened for me to earn the money needed. From the day my application was made to the day class convened, a few months later, my time was fully engages; and during this time I knew divine Mind was governing, because in a number of cases, when certain work was finished, the employer paid me more than I asked, something which had never occurred before, nor has it occurred since that time. The first day of the class found me able to pay the fee in full, which made me very joyful, for this demonstration proved to me beyond a doubt that when our desires are righteous, God does help us to the fulfillment of them.

It has seemed that my progress in Christian Science has been very slow; but I no longer worry about that, knowing that the principal thing for me to do is to watch my thoughts and make sure of keeping on the right path. I am very grateful for our church services, our lectures, and all the authorized Christian Science literature, through which we are daily learning more of the spiritual life.
