Nearly six years ago I asked for Christian Science treatment for bowel complaint, a trouble from which I had suffered more or less ever since I was a boy. I had no faith in the healing efficacy of Christian Science, but at the solicitation of my wife, and because I was getting into a miserable mental and physical state, I consented, deciding at the same time to follow directions and give the practitioner a fair trial. The first few days were quite a testing period. On the third day I threw away my medicine; and on the fifth, as I remember it, the healing, which has been permanent, came. After this proof of the power of God I earnestly studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and numerous demonstrations followed including the cure of profanity, which had been freely indulged in for a great many years.

When our boy was about a year old he choked, his face became black, his body stiff, and to appearance he seemed dead. We then knew little of Christian Science, but in our extremity were led to telephone to a practitioner; and almost immediately the boy came to. For this healing I shall never cease to be grateful.

I realize I have still a long way to go, but I know my progress is contingent upon my faithful study and application of this wonderful truth, and I am encouraged by knowing that all things are possible to the creator. My thought has undergone a radical change on many subjects: the wonderful saying of the Bible are being appreciated more and more; better health is being enjoyed; and many difficult problems are being solved. In short, without this teaching I should be nowhere. I am thankful to Mrs. Eddy for founding the Christian Science movement, for church membership, and for all the activities in which I have been privileged to engage and by which I have been benefited.—Charles W.
