One cannot receive benefit from Christian Science treatments...

One cannot receive benefit from Christian Science treatments and not be grateful. There are so many things I have been healed of, and I have received so much good through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, that I hardly know where to begin to tell of it all.

Before I came into Christian Science I had an operation for appendicitis. The pain, however, continued for six years longer. Then Christian Science came to me through a friend, who told me that some one I used to know had become deeply interested in Christian Science. I called up this gentleman, who was a practitioner, and asked him to come to see me and tell me what Christian Science was. He did so; and I found it was just what I wanted.

One day I was ill, as I had been many times before. My mother proposed that I call the practitioner and see if Christian Science could help me. We soon found out how good it was; for in one hour I was up feeling fine, whereas before I would have been sick a day or two. There were certain foods I had not eaten for ten years. When I saw that it was my wrong thought and fear that made me think they hurt me, I ate them, and they have never hurt me since. That was twelve years ago. Now I eat whatever I want, knowing it cannot hurt me, as I am not afraid of it any more.
