Letters from the Field

"I shall no longer postpone writing a letter of appreciation for my visit to the Christian Science sanatorium about two years ago. I am certain that the majority of Christian Science practitioners were grateful when they knew a home had been provided for a large class of patients who have not the proper environment to best promote their healing. My expectations of the satisfaction a vacation spent there would give me were more than realized. A wholesome, courteous welcome was manifested from the time I entered until I left, by the hostess and all the assistants. There were no strangers there; a smile of greeting was always given, as guests and assistants met in the building or on the grounds. The possibility of a large family of brethren residing together, governed by one Mind, was manifested in the perfect order, quietness, and obedience to the simple rules of a home.

"The services were benedictions; healings have occurred at them. An earnest desire to be more consecrated to the Cause of Christian Science, in order that quick healings may be made for those who are in need,—not depression and hopelessness,—is my prayer.

"(Miss)M. Elizabeth Wright, Terre Haute, Indiana."
