During the twelve years I have been interested in Christian Science, I have experienced physical healings of importance to me in my work; though, not knowing that I could or would be healed through the study, I took it up more as a matter of investigation. However, once having started to read in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I continued for the effect of quietness, joy, and freedom that it brought to me. While reading the textbook I was healed of chronic headaches, and medicine was thrown away. Later, a severe case of chills and fever was mastered; and glasses were laid aside also by reading and declaring the truth. My daughter has been healed of measles and a swelling in the glands of her neck, and is continually helped in her school work through the application of Christian Science.

The demonstration for which I am most grateful is the privilege of filling the position of soloist in a Christian Science church for five consecutive years without absence or tardiness. I never thought I could possibly accomplish this, as previously I had always suffered from colds during the winter months. Error would have had me wait until I was more nearly perfect before accepting the position, and would use the same argument now to prevent me from writing my gratitude; but what greater proof of God's loving care and protection can I ask? During the time I have been singing as mentioned, I have been healed, with the aid of a practitioner, of tumor. It passed away into its native nothingness inside of one month.

My experience has shown me that as we take one step at a time God will open the way if we trust Him. I am deeply and sincerely grateful for having been shown the way in Christian Science.
