Work with God

To work with God requires obedience to divine Principle; and obedience to divine Principle can be rendered only when our relationship to God is understood. The master worker and great Exemplar, Jesus of Nazareth, said, "I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me." Jesus always worked in the light of ever present Love, establishing his true relationship with the Father by doing mighty works in His name. He beheld always the face of the Father in everything he said and did; and he knew that nothing can efface the work that is accomplished through divine inspiration.

God is ever expressing Himself through His perfect ideas; and in proportion as we are obedient to the "still small voice" can we reflect these ideas in our lives. And this requires a constant giving up of human impulse and endeavor, and a lowliness and meekness that ever testify to the one almighty, all-powerful Love, which knows no hate. In a consciousness lighted with the revelation of Truth, the darkness of error cannot gain entrance or abide, however aggressive or hypnotic it may seem to be. Error forever points to its own destruction. It can never annul the work of divine wisdom, or reverse it; for God's weapons are formidable, and man is forever supplied with these weapons, which, as Paul tells us, "are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds."

No doubt or fear can ever prevent the student of Christian Science from proving man's at-one-ment with God; for man is never outside of God's allness. No mistake or misconception can arise when the student works under God's law; for this law renders void any claim to operation or authority that evil or animal magnetism may present.
