From my earliest memory I was afflicted with constipation...
From my earliest memory I was afflicted with constipation and indigestion, accompanied by severe headaches, dizziness, and so on, at frequent periods. In the spring of 1900 I was so starved and emaciated that I was brought West for my health, dieting and drugging having utterly failed to help me. After coming West I would improve for a season and then drop back again. Finally, in Denver, in 1914, I was led to attend a Christian Science lecture. I was an unbeliever in the Christian religion, but was much impressed by this message. I soon began to attend the Christian Science services, and carried home some Christian Science literature handed to me at the door. Immediately upon reading the literature I was physically healed and began to be mentally regenerated. A lady toward whom I had been very resentful was forgiven, and I went to her and bought my first copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which I still keep as a very precious treasure. Many blessings have come to me since, including class instruction, for which I cannot be grateful enough.
