"The place where thou standest"

Into the lives of each one of us come experiences that test our very fiber—experiences that seem like the wrestling of Jacob, that will not let us go till we have received their blessing.

There is No Selfhood Apart from God

In the search for permanent and changeless freedom from the materiality that unenlightened human consciousness would have us acknowledge as reality, we must endeavor to rise to a realization of the truth of being that there is no selfhood apart from God.

"He that believeth"

Jesus said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also.

Work with God

To work with God requires obedience to divine Principle; and obedience to divine Principle can be rendered only when our relationship to God is understood.

The Mirror

One sunny morning, at the breakfast hour, a little golden canary was let out of his cage to fly around in freedom and enjoy the equally golden sunshine that flooded the room with warmth and light.

When through the mists of time there shone on earthA beacon light from heaven's eternal day,A heart, made sensitive through suffering,Obeyed the call, and walked the narrow way.

Letters from the Field

A steady unfolding of the work is evidenced by the fact that the Christian Science Worker has come into touch with more men and boys in the last few months than in any other similar period of time since the starting of the work, and by the healings which have taken place either with his help or by the work of the men themselves.

Joyous Obedience

Christian Scientists frequently examine their thoughts to determine how nearly they are conforming their mental activities to the divine.

A wise writer has declared, "By friendship you mean the greatest love, the greatest usefulness, the most open communication, the severest truth, the heartiest counsel, and the greatest union of minds of which brave men and women are capable.

"In Christian Science, a denial of Truth is fatal, while a just acknowledgment of Truth and of what it has done for us is an effectual help.
More than twenty years ago, weary, fearful, and discouraged, I turned to Christian Science for the healing of an invalid child, for whom physicians gave me no hope.
With a grateful heart I wish to relate some of the blessings I have experienced in Christian Science.
After witnessing a Christian Science healing several years ago I purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, so that I might know more of this wonderful teaching.
Through the ordeals suffered along the way, I had lost my faith.
After suffering great weakness and much pain for eleven months, I gave up medicine, massage, and baths, and turned to Christian Science.
I wish to express my sincere gratitude to God and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for the wonderful comfort and happiness and moral uplift that have come into my life through the knowledge of what God really is, as explained in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
It is with ever increasing joy and gratitude that I voice the blessings which through demonstration have come to us in Christian Science.
From my earliest memory I was afflicted with constipation and indigestion, accompanied by severe headaches, dizziness, and so on, at frequent periods.
It is with a feeling of great gratitude that I bear witness to the healing power of Christian Science.
