Seven years ago last winter, while we were in the midst of moving, my husband slipped on the icy pavement and fell, striking the back of his head. He was able to return to the house we were moving from and tell me what had happened; and it was the last sane thing he said for nearly twenty-four hours, having lost his memory. Through the help of a Christian Science practitioner, he was restored to a normal condition at the end of that time, and was without a bruise or pain. While perhaps that was one of the most trying ordeals I have ever experienced, I was and am grateful for it, because it afforded one more proof of the omnipresence and omnipotence of God. Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, tells us in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care;" and on page 410, "Every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger." We are both very grateful to those who so lovingly helped us at that time.

I did not take up Christian Science for physical healing but became interested through reading the textbook. I have since been healed of tonsillitis, rheumatism, bowel and liver trouble. For these healings; for all that Christian Science has done and is doing for me; and for the benefit of class instruction, I am very thankful. My desire is to prove my gratitude in any every way I can.
