[Original testimony in German]

I heard of Christian Science for the first time in the autumn...

I heard of Christian Science for the first time in the autumn of 1920. At first it seemed very difficult for me to learn anew and to give up my own opinions; and for this reason I turned again to the state church. But Mrs. Eddy's teaching came constantly to my attention, until I clearly sae that if I wished to make progress, this could be done only by an entire change of thought. I then put aside all my own opinions and began to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy without prejudice. I also decided to turn to a Christian Science practitioner for help to overcome an affliction of many years' standing which appeared periodically. In the first conversation a great deal was made clear to me of what I had thought over without coming to any satisfactory conclusion; and so I am very grateful for the enlightenment which has come to me through the practitioner who helped me.

I am especially grateful for the reconciliation with my brother. My mother heard of his illness. This brother had kept away from his family for three years. My mother asked permission to visit him in the hospital, and it was given. When he was at home again he asked us to visit him, and we told him about Christian Science. To our great delight he took an interest in its teachings and asked a practitioner for help, which was lovingly given. Since then he has been like a different man; and we are exceedingly grateful for the reconciliation of the family.

I thank God with all my heart that He has led me to find the right way; and I shall strive to study more and more of the truth.—(Miss) Lydia Blohm, Hamburg, Germany.
