I am deeply grateful to Christian Science, and would like to tell of something very wonderful which it has done for me. A few years ago I discovered rather suddenly that I seemed to have either a pronounced internal displacement or an abnormal growth of some kind. After a period of dismay and reluctance to admit its existence, I turned to Christian Science for help.

This was during the war period. An only son was in the army, flying; and, although this anxiety was added to the trouble mentioned, I was able to be occupied continually with war work of different kinds, including helping to care for the boys in a near-by camp, where influenza and pneumonia were raging. But no evil did befall me, nor did any plague come nigh our dwelling; and I have spoken of these things because I believe that protection and strength and support were being given to us through Christian Science. The treatments were also uncovering many spirings of mental error and in-harmony, and leading to a great deal of growth in spiritual understanding. After some time I realized that the fear of the internal trouble was overcome, and the treatments were stopped. Some time after that I discovered one day that the trouble had entirely disappeared. No knife, no hospital, no drugging, no long period of inactivity had been necessary; but the power of divine Love had been silently healing me while I went on about my work.

My gratitude is deep for Christian Science, and for its Discoverer and Founder, Mrs. Eddy, as well as for the loving practitioner whose clear sense and faithful knowing of the truth delivered me from so heavy a burden and from so great a seeming menace.
