Christian Science was presented to me by many dear friends for a period of some years before I was willing to read any of the literature, much less the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. But there came a time when all material means failed and I was sick, discouraged, and disheartened. Through the healing by Christian Science of my brother, after an illness of years of great suffering, I was forced to see and admit that something had taken place in his life whereby he had been restored to health and happiness and was daily about the Father's business.

I asked for a copy of Science and Health from a friend, and began to read with the thought that if there were any good in the book for me I wanted it. I read and reread,—read at night and all my spare time through the day, and arose very early to read. I ironed with a copy of Science and Health by me, now and then getting a word. I baked with the book on the table, and loved every word. What I read I began to put into practice the best I knew how. I soon owned a copy of the textbook, a Bible, and a Quarterly, studied the Lesson-Sermons, and attended church reguarly, Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. I gave my testimonies in the Wednesday evening meetings; and when I had read Science and Health through, I was healed of acute stomach trouble, indigestion, and chronic constipation for which I had been doctoring under many physicians for years. Christian Science not only has healed me physically, but has met my every need fiancially, morally, and spiritually; and it has never failed me when rightly applied.

I am well and happy, and deeply grateful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who has given to the world her pure and inspired writings, which are healing and saving all mankind. I am grateful to God "for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men;" grateful for all the privileges and blessings Christian Science has brought me,—in membership in The Mother Church and a branch church and in class instruction; grateful for the opportunity to serve the Cause of Christian Science and to help my brother-man.—(Mrs.) J.
