I wish to give testimony of some of the numerous blessings that have come to me since beginning the study of Christian Science. Several years ago, while I was chopping wood, the ax slipped and I received the force of the blow across one of my ankles. The pain was so severe I could scarcely stand; but three hours after asking a Christian Science practitioner for help, I was free from pain and entirely healed.

A severe case of tonsillitis was overcome in one treatment. I had driven eighty miles with a high fever, and during the return trip kept getting worse. A few minutes after asking for help in Science, I broke into a perspiration, and by morning was well. Again, last winter, I was healed of bronchitis and fever in a few days. Before I took up the study of Christian Science, similar attacks would keep me confined to the house from two to three weeks, with a long period to overcome after effects.

Christian Science has also healed me of grief, and has been very helpful in business transactions. If we rely fully upon divine guidance, we can go safely on without fear. I am very grateful for the daily opportunity to overcome difficulties of disposition. Temper, sensitiveness, worry, and a number of other sins provide daily opportunities for growth. The problem of lack must be solved from above. In my experience I always find that when I stop planning, divine Love is already at hand with resources. In my immediate household I have witnessed the healing of sciatica, rheumatism, pneumonia, bladder trouble, severe colds, injuries, and other ills.
