BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA (Second Church).—The Puter property, with a frontage of one hundred and twenty-five feet on the east side of Spruce Street, has been purchased by Second Church of Christ, Scientist, as the site for its new church edifice, which is to be erected in the near future. The site is located in the heart of the section of the city the church serves. The property has a depth of one hundred and sixty feet, and lies high above the street with a high retaining wall. Work on the new edifice will be commenced within a few months, it being necessary to prepare and adopt plans and to let the contract before actual work is started.
