Ever since Christian Science was discovered, fifty-nine years ago, the sick have been healed through the application of the truths taught by this Science; and during that time members of the highest professions in this and other lands have embraced its teaching. There probably are many who are so blinded by their own theological teaching that they can see no truth in any other. Paul's statement, "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned," was probably addressed to such as these. In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (pp. 138, 139), Mrs. Eddy writes: "Our Master said to every follower: 'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature! ... Heal the sick! ... Love thy neighbor as thyself!' It was this theology of Jesus which healed the sick and the sinning. It is his theology in this book and the spiritual meaning of this theology, which heals the sick and causes the wicked to 'forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts.'"
