Out of gratitude for the wonderful healing which has come to me through God's omnipotent goodness, through Christian Science, I wish to give the following testimony.

In September, 1922, I was taken ill with a serious intestinal complaint. I tried a great many household remedies, but to no avail. Then I went to a physician, but he did not help me; on the contrary, my condition grew worse after medicine had been ordered. I was so weak that I became phlebitic in my legs, and was quite helpless, so much so that my husband and children had to take me to the hospital at the beginning of January, 1923. I must gratefully acknowledge that what human help and love could do, was done, but all in vain. The doctors and everybody else had given me up. Then weakness of the heart, as well as general weakness, set in. But "man's extremity is God's opportunity." Help came to me through Christian Science. A dear Christian Science practitioner visited me in the hospital and revealed to me God's love; and this recalled me to a better sense of life.

My healing came so quickly that nobody could understand it. Until Christian Science came, nobody among us had thought of God's omnipotence. But I am grateful with all my heart that after seven hard months I was able to go home again. My legs continued to be weak; but for this also help was lovingly given in Christian Science, and God released me. Four weeks later I was able to walk an hour and a half in order to attend the service in the Christian Science church. My right leg had become quite crooked from the illness, but now I am also free from this condition. When my husband asked the doctor about my health, he said, "A miracle has been performed on your wife, for we doctors had given her up."
