It is nearly three years since I first became interested in Christian Science. I should like to say how grateful I am for what it has done and is doing for me. I should like also to tell of a healing for which I have always felt the deepest gratitude. Ever since I could remember I had been subject to train sickness. Traveling was a horror to me. I dreaded moving; and as we were always on the move, this was a sore trial to me. I hoped that as I grew up I should get over the train sickness; but at seventeen years of age I was just the same, and showed no signs of getting better.
In the summer of 1923, I was to go into the Midlands of England to say good-bye to some relations before I left England. At first I was frightened at the thought of this journey. I, however, worked about it in Science before I went. When the day came, I got into the train and read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. About an hour after the train had started, I suddenly realized I was healed. Though I took several long journeys after that, I never felt sick. I had one return of the fear of it last year, for a quarter of an hour. It was just as I was starting on a journey of three nights and two days on a very slow train. But I held to the truth that error had no power to return. The fear went, and I was perfectly well the whole way, enjoying the journey very much. I have also been healed of sleeplessness, of cat bite, a septic finger, and other little ailments. For all these healings I am deeply grateful.
It is wonderful to have a religion one can use in daily life. I should like to say how thankful I am to Mrs. Eddy, as well as to God for revealing this blessed truth to her. I am also grateful to the dear practitioner who has so often helped me, to all my kind friends, and for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church.—(Miss) Kitty E. M. Terrot, Bangalore, Mysore, India.
