During the ten years we have been studying Christian Science we have had in our family many proofs of its healing efficacy. Some of the diseases which we have seen overcome without material means are mumps, eczema, abscesses in the ears, pneumonia, pleurisy, and constipation. The last-named complaint had been the cause of more or less anxiety for some time, but four years ago it was met and destroyed by the right application of spiritual truth. At that time our baby, six weeks old, had not a bowel movement for five days. My husband was leaving home; and as he would not be hearing from the family for a week, he was very anxious to have the baby healed before he left. About two hours before the train was to leave he started to go to a drug store for something to relieve the trouble. He decided, however, that he would, instead, let his wife and the practitioner handle the case. The next day the baby was perfectly normal; and we are glad to say we have had no further trouble.
